Hi Billy Bob,
Tak in mind that I am a sensative person who dose not like/fear confrontation... so be nice... lol
I have often wondered... I understand how there is a problem with pythons and boas... they eat meat there for eat other animals and can disrupt an entire eco system by being put in a place they did not come from and do not belong....
But my probable uneducated question is what effect do the Iguans have... do they eat all of a certin kind of plant... wiping out spacific types of vegitation?
Do they attack of hurt people or pets... I can see that they may be an anoyance to some ... and scare some... but other than that are they detramental to an eco system?
Wheren't all land masses connected at one point and time... and when seperated each species morphed and delveloped into different sub species? Evolution?
Everything got some place some how... wheater they walked there, flew there, or where transported.
Different types of seeds are transported hundreads of miles on animals or in there poop... the plants that may grow might not be native to that place... but it was nature that transported it there and it was nature that made it grow sucessfully in that place... it would also be nature that would determin if that foreighn seed would die or evolve in that place...
My point being yes it was humans that may have brought them to this place... but in this case what are the "Problems" with them being placed in this area where they are doing well.
Is it over population? Are anoying to people?
Are they causing health problems? Destroying an eco system?
I'm seriously asking as an uninformed uneducated person... Please do not be mad or offensive...if you do not want to answer that is ok too...
I've just kinda read a few of your posts and know that you are a very passionate person.
and p.s. my husband's family are from Mexico and have been trying to get me to let them eat my Iguanas for years...lol (NOT MY BABIES) my neighbor offered my husband $200... lol
Maybe there is a market up here for you... ;o)
