1. I recently made a custom dish for my iguana made of foam covered in grout that I sanded, painted grey to look like stone, and sealed with polycrylic. My iguana is absolutely terrified of this dish and I'd like to know if there is some kind of aversion to shiny grey objects that I am unaware of?
2. I like to keep a store of dry commercial iguana food in case my greens and veggies went bad and I could not get more for at least a day to ensure he at least has something to eat. I recently had to use All Living Things (petsmart brand I think) iguana diet. They were hard green round pellets. Anyway, he ate them and the next day I noticed a blueish green hue around his stool in his bathing container. Would this be due to the apparent dye in the food? I just want to be doubly cautious before feeding this again in the case that I have to.
Thanks in advance! Apologies for the lengthy post but I've always been told that with iguanas, every small detail matters.
