I've never posted here before but I'm hoping someone can give me some advice that I can use. About a year and a half ago I acquired a 3 1/2 ft 8 yr old female iguana. I worked in a shop, where I stayed most of the time also and she was with me constantly. When I went home she went with me. But about a year ago I quit that job and she & I came home. When I got her she had never bitten anyone, she was SO sweet, I could pick her up any time, carry her around, take her in the car, anything I wanted (she only nipped me one time. But about 6 months after us being at my house she started biting me...often. Now she chases me around, charges me when I put her food dish in it's place and just bites me for the heck of it. I think I may have messed up by trying to spoil her. She's got a corner of the living room that I built for her where she basks and eats. And I built a 'walkway' that takes her from the living room thru the hall and into her bedroom. It's about a foot from the ceiling (keeps her from having to deal with the dogs and the cat). She also has a ramp she uses to get down to the couch because she's potty trained to go outside and she'll just go stand at the front door until I let her out. I've tried to make her life easy and good but I've obviously done something wrong because she seems to hate me now. She used to sleep with me, laying across my face...now I'm too afraid to let her near my face! She bites my head whenever I pick her up now and if I go from one room to another, she chases me up on her walkway. I want my sweet girl back! Can anyone tell me what to do to make her quit biting me and like me again? Please! Thanks!
