my iguana Bartholomew has recently recovered from a tail break (x3) and an infection followed by a tail amputation surgery. He has suddenly decided to start eating the cat's food every day... I no longer keep him in a cage since the wire cage was causing the tail breaks, so now he lives on top of the ferret cage, a spot he chose for himself. He stays in my bedroom where I also have 2 cats and 2 ferrets - all free roaming creatures. The other 4 animals share a food dish of dry cat food. I have recently noticed Bart is supplementing his diet of fruits and vegetables by eating cat food also... is he in danger from this behavior or will the cat food not be a problem if he continues to eat also his veggies and fruits?
