Did her leg problem start on the day she was mated? The day after? or has it been a problem for a long time? Could leg pain have been causing her lack of activity that you mentioned?
Are you sure that her calcium metabolism is working well? If she doesn't get enough dietary calcium, and/or she doesn't have adequate UVB, she will run out of serum calcium and have bone/joint problems, and in the near future she will have nerve problems also. Her body will rob her bones for the calcium needed to run her nervous system. "The bones are sacrificed to the nervous system." The soft bones, shaking and tremors associated with MBD are caused by lack of enough calcium to run her nervous system after her bones are already stripped of their calcium.
Do you have a vet who can x-ray her leg to check for breaks or dislocations?
Make sure she can't do any climbing at all. Even moving off the sofa to the floor can really damage her if she's vulnerable.
We might have to talk about getting her a hospital room. It can be installed within her present habitat and they keep iguanas from moving around while they are curing themselves of MBD or broken bones.
Can you get calcium glubionate at your pharmacy? It is far better than the usual calcium supplements like calcium carbonate and calcium citrate. If she starts shelling eggs, she will need it for sure. But I don't know the number of drops needed to treat an iguana. It's probably 3 drops twice daily, by mouth, for 10 days. But note that her body cannot utilize the supplemental calcium unless she has enough vit.D3 in her system, and her vitD3 must be made in her own skin with UVB. Nobody fully understands this yet. VitD supplements (exogenous vitD) will harm her. I think a vet I had when I first started learning about iguanas, killed two of my iguanas with injections of vitamins including vit.D of some kind. They were both dead the very next morning. (I was fostering sick iguanas at the time.)
An iguana who has to shell eggs while having bone damage has a very tricky ride back to wellness.
I hope you can answer all the questions in my text :-)
