It has all you need to know about starting your iguana right.
BTW, don't worry that your ig is slow to start eating. He is having the typical Relocation Stress which takes about 5 to 14 days to wear off. Whatever he wants to eat, feed it to him, just for a while.
It was always helpful for my new igs when I put out 3 or 4 smallish bowls of water in their cages, so they couldn't miss them as they explored. He needs to start drinking ASAP. A water container large enough will prompt him to defecate in it, which is not a bad thing, but the water needs to be changed every day. The small bowls also need to be changed every day so the water is always fresh and appealing to your ig.
Black-and-white newsprint is what most people use for a substrate. It is easy to replace every day. I've never seen any report that it hurts them at all. If you use artificial turf or indoor-outdoor carpet he will tug at the strands, so the edges need to be free of loose strands.
Good luck, stay in touch.
