Need some advise please. I built an awesome outdoor habitat for my 7 yr old False Red Iguana. He has been out there for about 3 months now and loves it. Three weeks ago I noticed the tip of his tail was bleeding. Had no idea what had happened but after cleaning, then bandaging, then indoor only it was almost healed. Today he was out for couple hours and between 7:30 and 8pm something chewed the heck out of it. I found rat poop on his basking spot. Has anyone else solved a problem like this. I do have a vet appt. this Saturday for a tail exam. At first I thought I was dealing with tail rott or fungus, but now I know it is absolutely rodent damage.
