Her routine was such that she would make her way from her bed in my office to the back door, do her business, bask on the patio furniture for a few hours and then head to her outdoor cage. She would spend the day out and I would bring her in and bed her down in the early evening. After calling the vet i brought her in and but had to leave her from 1:30-5:30. When I went to check on her, she had passed. She looked like an iggy angel and so peaceful. I know she was struggling and feel so badly that I wasn’t with her at her time and my guilt over the husbandry I had provided. I did speak with a lady who has had iguanas for 30 years and she was very comforting to me. I had Zen picked up for cremation the next day after a lot of tears. Thank you again, John, for taking the time to respond.
