| Breeding season is here! It's official (funny story)

So, as I'm sure some of you remember, Falkor is notorious for showing signs of breeding season that turn out to be false. Well, he's had the orange in his front legs and spikes for awhile now, about 2 weeks ago I noticed the waxy substance on his femoral pores as well as protrusion. I assumed he was still "faking it," until this morning. I got home and he was actually happy to see me, (which is unusual lately) so I removed last night's meal and was preparing a fresh breakfast. He smelled the mustard greens and got really excited, like a kid smelling chocolate. He's pretty much eaten just enough to stay alive for a few weeks off and on, periodically gorging. He gorged yesterday, so I assumed today he wouldn't eat much. I sat his plate in there with a new concoction (only his faves; mustard greens, green beans & Rep-cal) he got so excited that he hurried off of his netting to eat, almost taking a finger with him! Well, where he dragged himself down across his blanket, he left a surprise to show just how overly excited he was... Yeah, LOL. I checked the website here and determined it's most likely just sperm rather than a seminal plug. But, yay! My lizard is finally healthy enough to hit a "true" breeding season. And yet again, he's been a blessing so far. Rather than getting irritable, he's growing affectionate. He used my arm to prop up and eat today, then used my coveralls (I'd just left work) to flip upside down and eat some more. Ah, what a weird iggy he is; irritable except when in breeding season or sick/scared, takes naps upside down in the tub, and the more noise there is around the happier he is. Silly lizard. Sadly he'll hate me again soon, bout time for another checkup to see if he's gained any notable weight (fingers crossed) and to refill his eye drops (which he now hates) and just for the kicks of it, to see what the latest "diagnosis" of his eye problem is. I've concluded that it will most likely never go away completely, but as long as I can prevent it from hurting him we'll be okay ;) P.S.- construction on this new habitat starts this weekend come hell or high water! I finally solved the deliberation of framing ;)
