Weird, isn't it? I've seen it referred to as "alien eyes." :) Mine will sometimes do this in the morning or later in the day. I can get Oggie to do it by rubbing the top of her eye ridge on both sides. They also seem to do it when shedding their eyelid skin.
Sometimes Drago will pump his dewlap up and down and swallow hard as he's bugging his eyes out. He also does alien eyes in the evening as he's settling down for bed; he'll rub his face along the wall and out come the eyes. :) I think they do it when they are itchy.
