Have you guys seen Dogs 101 or Cats 101 on animal planet?I just watched Cats 101 and was thinking would it be a good idea for reptiles 101, so may be more people learn that its not as easy as it looks? Just a thought...

It's such a huge topic, reptiles are extremely adapted to and dependent on their environments. So each one is different. Cats are warm-blooded, so they can self-adapt to a much wider set of environmental factors. It's easier to generalize about cats.

Can't hurt.
A little education on a variety of reptiles could go a long way. The requirements for an iguana may change one or two minds and an easier reptile may be selected.

Yeah, the way they set up that program is actually pretty informative. They don't just show a cute kitty or puppy so all the kids run to mom and want one- they actually say things like, "So, if you live in an apartment and don't have a yard- this dog isn't for you" etc...

thats true, so then may be people, that cant provide the proper environment, but want to have a reptile for whatever else reason think twice. Reptiles are expensive, high maintenance animals and we have enough of them in shelters or in The Everglades, because people didnt do their homework.
