Pipsqueak Update

I just wanted to let you know that Pipsqueak went back to the vet for her 2 week checkup on her leg infection a week ago and the vet she saw then (out regular vet) reccomennended that she have surgery to clean out the infection or apputated. The infection had actually gotten worse not better. Because she is so young yet and I can't imagine dooming her to being 3 legged without giveing her a chance we chose to have the infection cleaned out and antibiotics implanted in hopes of winning the battle against the infection. She is also on a general oral antibiotic while we wait for the culture to come back. She still may lose her leg. Keep her in you iggie prayers. Love Liz

so sorry to hear, but like you say, she is young and healthy otherwise. We will keep you both in our thoughts and prayers. Keep us posted.

aww thats to bad. Hope the meds work but atleast if she loses the leg shes young enough to adjust pretty well.Keep us posted.

Yeah but it is a front leg and it breaks my heart at her flopping around on 3 legs the rest of her life if she loses the leg
