If your iguana stops pooping.. Vet time.. I'd give it a few days. I am not entirely sure if a rubber band would do it, but its possible that if it gets bound in the intestines it could literally wrap around the intestines and cause damage/blockage of the intestines.

If you don't see the band in his poo this week, get the vet to xray. You may be in for a little surgery to save your little buddy. The elastic won't disintegrate in his gut.
