I have an unknown subspecies of alligator lizard. I accidentally uncovered him while he was hibernating, a couple of months before he was scheduled to wake up. I couldn't just leave him there to be eaten by shrews. |
I figure rightly that he does not need UVB for his metabolism. But what I realize now is that he surely needs UVA and bright light.
Can somebody name a lamp that produces a good amount of UVA? I've already been told that a UVB producing lamp won't hurt him at all. I figure I'll end up with a UVA/UVB lamp of some kind.
This question is new to me, and I can probably make good guesses, but I want to be sure. I also e-mailed Bob Mac, but I don't know if his business is up and running.
