Probably no one will recommend an iguana-safe method. There haven't been enough tests. But if you move your ig to another house, then anything goes. You just have to make sure your house is ventilated enough (like twice as ventilated as for human occupation) after the job is done. |
Don't get ripped off.
Treating one room, if it's effective, will leave the dozens of other hotspots throughout the house active. I've seen partial treatments, and they make me sick. It's a quasi-legal ripoff.
I live in CA, north of San Francisco. Once I had a friend who told me that his new house was going to be tented to kill Powder Post Beetles. The evidence was there: thousands of 1/16 inch holes in all the exterior wood. Out here they are the most damaging infestation you can get. But because of my life experience, I told him that the holes were made by beetles that had bored their way to the surface and flown off. The holes were actually evidence that the infestation had matured and left the house. He saved a lot of money.
