My roommate doesn't like the "smell" of reptiles. He's a city slicker and apparent wet asphalt is much preferred to damp peat moss.. I'll never understand. Smells like a fresh garden, or a spring morning to me. Any way. My husband told me to get rid of them, so I told him to get rid of his mud truck because I didn't like the way that smelled. He very quickly saw my point, and provided me with a "reptile room" I LOVE this room! I am allowed to get anything I want or build anything I want as long as it fits in this room... Except birds. He hates birds. This room is technically a sun porch. So, it has no ducts to the rest of the house and is completely closed off to everyone else unless I am home. The door is kept closed at all times, the heat in the room stays at 70 with a basking spot in front of the window and an iguana perch just outside for our morning coffee/ breakfast. My iguana has full roam of this room. And Loves it. If you could set something like this up, you could have an iguana. |
