when one becomes an iguana there are soe things to be aware of . Main thing is size. Many of us are prone to want to let them free roam as much as possible but there are a handful of iguanas out there that will need to be caged 24/7 with the exception of cage cleaning vet visits etc. |
Its good to keep in mind that someday your iguana may need a room sized cage... and trust me if he gets oody like that you will be the first ones to know :)
Ive cared for 11 iguanas in my home...and raised 3 children... if your hoping for a cuddly lizard, forget it , your better off with a puppy ,,,and , hey, they can bite kids too...
But if you want a really cool pet, teach children to also learn the warning signs, head bobbing, extended dewlap, puffing up, stalking behavior... these are things you will see over the years because iguanas can be moody.
