Abandoned NJ Iguana in good health in need of home!

I have an Iguana that was an unwanted pet that my daughter wanted to take in along with the iguana we already had. Although young at the time, and they did originally get along (for over a year) Fred (our larger, dominant female) became gravid and laid over 22 eggs within a month of being together in the enclosure. Thereafter, she beat on "Zuki" and dominated him every minute of every day, forcing us to separate them. My daughter's experiment failed, and they cannot coexist in the enclosure. We have Zuki in a small tank currently, and he's eating and doing OK but it is not adequate for him (he's about 3' long) and he needs a new home. We're trying to "re-tame" Fred after the experiment, because she's generally very aggressive since, and doesn't want to be held at all. That said, she's doing ok in her larger enclosure and we'll continue working with her. I hope someone is willing to take Zuki, who is generally sweet but stressed now in his smaller enclosure. I'm more than happy to donate the cage and $100 toward Zuki's relocation and care to anyone willing to take him on and give him the shot he deserves, but we can't take on a second enclosure, etc. etc. Just don't have the room. Thanks. Chris 201-681-0762|
