That's warm enough for him to be somewhat active, but he needs mid-80's to really take care of himself. |
He may be able to survive this cool season on his own.
As BB said, they are introduced pest animals that displace endemic species and should be treated like a rat infestation. But many people do have soft hearts for them.
(What it needs to survive is warmth, UVB, food, and water.)
