Hello All! OK, so I have arrived in Stratford and it's cold. Quinn, were you kidding with the forecast last week? :-) Anyway- just thought I would share some observations I made along the way for anyone else who may be drving in at some poinjt :
10 Things I learned on the way to Stratford
1. Winston Salem NC has the WORST Interstate pavement in the WORLD!
2. Virginia really is kinda a useless state
3. West Virginia is serious about litter. $25000 AND JAIL TIME...
4. West Virginia really wants people stop smoking. There is a billboard every 2 miles for encouragement
5. Pennsylvania LOVES highway construction!
6. Don’t pick up hitchhikers in NY. Again, they are pretty serious as they have signs telling you not to pick up hitchhikers (usually preceded by one informing you of a correctional facility in the area)
7. It is not a good idea to tell the boarder guy that your purpose in Canadian is to initiate Cou De Ta in Parliament. They DO NOT find it funny. However, they will assist you in finding 75 cents under your floor mats and your missing iPod as they search your vehicle.
8. However, Boarder Patrol does find it amusing that someone would drive 900 miles, alone to see a play. They find it even more amusing when you tell them that you don’t work and were just bored and thought you would run on up for the show. Next time, I may tell them I’m a rocket scientist, just to see if they buy it.
9. 80MPH does not equal 80km/H, at least that’s what the officer told me. After the issue the boarder, I didn’t feel it necessary to test his sense of humor.
10. Stratford looks just like Key West, well, minus the cruise ships and the ocean and the beach and….
That's it for now. I'm off to find a day spa for massage and then see what mischief I can cause!
