Just a reminder that NO SALES of videos or merchandise are permitted on this site! Failure to abide by this rule will get the poster banned.
I did allow tickets to be offered at face value when a trip was canceled but that is it.
Sorry to be brusque but a post was made (and deleted) AFTER the person e-mailed and was told "the sale of merchandise must remain prohibited".

Well, I’ve offended/annoyed someone because I deleted their post so I’m going to highlight a few points about posting here and about copyright infringement. (It’s 3 AM and I came home from work and had to deal with this so forgive me for seeming grumpy.)
1 – The rules for the message board are right on its front page. If you can’t be bothered to read them then don’t be surprised if you get banned for breaking them.
2 – I set the policy for the club website, message board and newsletter. If you have a problem with a simple rules like “no commercial posts of any type” or “posts regarding the duplication of copyrighted material (DVD, VHS, CD, etc.) are ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED” then please go away.
3 – I will not change policy so someone can make some money.
4 – “No” means “no”. If you e-mail me to ask if you can post an ad and get told no then DON’T POST it!!!!
Regarding copyrighted material:
1 - Wayne Grisby and Barbara Samuels, the executive producers of Black Harbour, allowed fans to run “tape trees” to distribute the show in the US as long as NO PROFIT was ever made on it. It may have been years ago but the GWDFC still follows the agreement. BH may be distributed for the cost of mailing and tapes/disks only.
2 - The sale of videos that are copied or duplicated from TV airings is a violation of international copyright law.
3 - The sale of pro-videos (for example a purchased copy of Ghost Mom) is only legal as long as a copy was not made “to keep” allowing the original to be sold.
4 - The same laws protect the distribution of audio tapes and disk.
The GWDFC has never allowed the sale of merchandise through our message board in order to comply with international copyright law as most items of fan interest may/might or do border on copyright infringement.
The sale of merchandise through the club newsletter was discontinued when I took over because again, most items infringed on copyrights held by others. Even fan fiction is an infringement of copyright.
The club and I (as the person running the club) could be held liable for copyright infringement. Why should I risk legal action against the club or myself for someone else’s profit?
