Lizzy, I'm not sure about the bread and milk thing either. I think it just gives people a warm fuzzy feeling to know if they get stuck inside for days, they atleast have bread and won't starve(?) We do the same thing for hurricanes except in that case, it's bread and water... nothing else just bread and water. I have no clue why...it's just what the news tells us to do to ensure our survival:-)
