The problem is Dylan Thomas' work is still copyrighted. Many literary copyright laws are the author's lifetime plus 70 years. DT died in 1953 so his copyrights do not begin to expire until 2023. Recording DNGG for sale would incur royalties beyond those required for the staged play.
This, BTW, is part of the reason Stratford's "The Boys from Syracuse" is not available commercially. "Boys" is based on Shakespeare's "Comedy of Errors". "Errors" is not copyrighted but "Boys" is copyrighted to Rogers & Hart (now, their estates). The proper rights were not arranged and the Festival had permission to stage it but not to air it on TV (as they did) nor reproduce it for sale (as they did with Taming). - Re: re: DO YOU THINK GER WOULD CONSIDER RECORDING A AUDIO CD OF "DO NOT GO GENTLE" ?

Seriously, it's about time he headed back into the recording studio anyway, and did a follow up to 'Bar Talk' which I still *very* much enjoy. His music from that album is so relaxing to listen to, especially after work. Highly recommended if you haven't got a copy folks!
