Hello All! Just got back from the latest Stratford trip. The performances were great, Ger was brilliant (of course) and the weather was¡Kwell we won¡¦t talk about that. Since Quinn has already given the breakdown of the performances, I'll just give you my usual random observations and tips to use on your trips. Here we go: 1.It is much easier to cross the border at 4:30am. They don¡¦t ask as many questions. 2.80MPH still does not equal 80km/h and Canadian law enforcement is getting very tricky with their speed traps. However- they are super friendly while writing the ticket. 3.If the wireless internet in your hotel/B&B is out and you¡¦re desperate, head to Albert or Brunswick street. It¡¦s a wifi free-for-all! (although, I¡¦m not sure to whom it belongs.) 4.When it rains in Stratford¡K IT RAINS! cats, dogs and cows! 5.Swans like Kashi crackers and tend to help themselves to them. 6.The front row at the Avon should be labeled as a ¡§Splash Zone.¡¨ (Thanks to Ingrid for this pearl) 7.Fake blood apparently is just colored soap and washes out. (again, Thank You Ingrid) 8.DO NOT check your voicemail at the interval; otherwise you may end up missing the second half due to an office emergency that demands immediate attention. 9.If you want to catch Ger after a show¡K wear your running shoes and haul ass to the exit. He¡¦s apparently in some sort of attempt to break a world record with how fast he can change and get out. 10.It¡¦s a good idea to check and make sure no one is walking by before you open your car door when parked on the street. Failing to do this could result in nearly smacking someone with said door. Failing to do this on Brunswick Street could result in that someone being Ger. Luckily, I saw him coming in time. He¡¦s OK!! ƒº 11.Most importantly- If you had on your running shoes, hauled ass, caught Ger and finally, after 3 attempts, were able to complete the sentence ¡§Do you mind taking a picture with me,¡¨ make sure you wipe off the fogged-up camera lens otherwise you end up with a picture that may be you and Ger or may not. It¡¦s just big blur. 12.GO SEE DREAM!! Trust me you will hate yourself if you don¡¦t! Sell the kids, spend their college fund, remortgage the house if you have to, but go see it, several times in fact! So there you have it. It was a great trip. Thanks to Ingrid for the divine chocolates and for being my theatre buddy. And as always thanks to Ger for his BRILLIANT performances and taking time to sign, chat and pose for us. However, Quinn please tell him-unfortunately, I¡¦m going to need a do-over on that pic. Sorry :-) Everyone take care! Cheers- Traci
