Perdita is pretty - and technically she was not the main female dog character in 101 Dalmatians, that honour fell to Missis, but Disney didn't follow the book faithfully and the side character of Perdita got promoted to main...oops, sorry, I'm obsesing here, aren't I! But it's just as contrived as Miranda and Amanda and Vanessa, all of which are nice names, and it's still miles better than some of the modern contrived names which come up time and again.
