I really like Lior/Liora/Eliora a lot. It's on the list of -ora names that I actually like! I think it's perfectly fine... I know both a Lior and a Liorit, I think they're close enough to Lenore/Eleanora etc. to be familiar-sounding without being weird.
I have always loved Evangeline, but I think the only nns I could stomach would be Lina or Nina, and then only occasionally. Vangie sounds like an old lady hick name-- there are lots of names that people made up around where I grew up that sounded like regular names... with a twist (like Loris, Loyce, Vonna, DeeDra, Kathyleen etc.) I just hear "let's name Angie after cousin Van!"...

: Is this a feasible name in American culture?
: I kinda like how it rolls off the tongue...

: I've always quite enjoyed the name
: Evangeline (Eve-angeleeen)... and have
: though, other than Eve/Evie, that
: Vangi/Vangie could be a viable nn.

: What do you think?
