While I am not necessarily i favor, I am not opposed. I got married 3 years ago and decided to keep my last name so my husband and I have totally separate last names. I wouldn't hyphenate a name, but I can see using my last name as a middle... and wouldn't want to take away from or replace a more traditional middle.
JMHO!

: I guess it's nice if you can't agree on just 2
: names.
:
: when I worked at Harvard I noticed that a
: way larger number of students there had 2
: middle names as compared to the rest of the
: country. So... does it mean that it's more
: common amongst people who send their kids to
: Harvard (most likely richer than most), or
: does it make people more ambitious?
:
: Part of me thinks it's kind of overkill, but
: the name nerd in me knows I'll never be able
: to narrow my list down to just two!

: What do you guys think of babies with four
: names? For example, Jerry O'Connell and
: Rebecca Romijin's twin girls:
: Dolly Rebecca Rose O'Connell
: Charlie Tamara Tulip O'Connell
:
: Nicole Ritchie's baby is Harlow Winter Kate
: Madden
:
: Gwen Stefani's baby is Zuma Nesta Rock
: Rossdale
:
: and Briston Palin's baby is Tripp Easton
: Mitchell Johnson
:
: What do you think of giving your babies
: three names?
:
: Personally I think it is a little excessive
: and overdone.
