Posted by The home office on 9/30/2002, 4:41 pm There were lots of local and not so local talent there all showing off their latest: Donna Barr, Steve Rolston, Brad Yung, Robin Konstibaris, Susan Ferguson, Andi Mori and many others. The panel was just under an hour where a bunch of us got to geek out and answer questions about comics and the media. Afterwards we chatted with Donna about a Titanic essay that blew her mind (it's linked over at www.stinz.com) all the while my purse was getting knocked off my shoulder by the dozens of people coming and going (Donna's table was right by the door). We left just before I started punching people. After a few more hours sleep I was myself again. So the Teen Titans are being made into a cartoon series! It looks like a lot of fun but why oh why do these things always have to be set in the future? Ugh. At least Starfire doesn't have the hair from hell.
Hi Randy, Sorry you couldn't make it to Word Under the Street on Sunday! Ian and I didn't realise we were scheduled to show until five that morning when, still working on deadlines, one of thought to check the event's site to see when would be a good time to stop by and say hi to friends. "Um, Pia, your name is on here." D'OH! So with just a few hours sleep we dragged ourselves into the panel we agreed to do months earlier but had forgotten about. Gah.
