Posted by The Home Office on 11/22/2004, 10:15 pm, in reply to "I love Pia's art" I learned to draw by just doing it and not letting anyone's opinions stop me from continuing and that's really the big secret to drawing (and anything related to a learned skill). If you love to draw you just have to keep drawing and developing so you can get better. Many people stop drawing after some bad feedback, like a friend looking at a picture you drew of him (that you worked hard on) and then after looking it over he says "That doesn't look like me!". You just have to try again until you get it right. Same goes with comics. Listen to feedback, take the constructive elements and use it to get better but don't take it too personally. The important thing is to do what makes you happy.

Hi Ayesha, I got your e-mail by the way and thanks for the kind words. As for inspiration there are so many creators I've admired over the years (I started reading comics when I was ten), almost too many to count but the ones that spring to mind as the ones that influenced me the most are:
Barry Windsor Smith
Paul Smith
Chris Bacchalo
George Perez
Michael Lark
John Romita Jr.
Travis Charest
Jim Lee
Bryan Hitch
Charles Vess
J.J. Muth
P. Craig Russel
And Scott McCloud
