Posted by Ty B I was fine for eight years. Sunday morning, with nothing to do, the woman is on vacation, the cat is sleeping, the clouds are out, and I feel like sitting in front of a computer monitor, and wasting my day on various tech related sites. I find a link to DC in there, so I click. Maybe I'll have a chance to catch up on some old friends, and see what's up. There I see a link to "Y". "Oh yeah, that local chick, I saw her on the VTV morning news about seven months ago, good for her". Never gave it another thought after that. Fast forward to my sunday. - After a bit of searching, I was able to find a "sample" (yeah, it's that bad), and a way to view it with my computer. I just want to see how much comics have changed since the days of clone sagas, broken Batmen, and poly-bagged limited edition die-cut chromium alternate foil cover (with a coupon for issue -4). And wow... I read 36 issues in one sitting. I was two hours late for work before I even looked at the clock. The premise of this book is so simple. In execution - I'm at a loss for words. Few Questions if you don't mind: 1. Since yer local, can you recomend a store in town where I can get the trade paperbacks of this? (No, I don't steal - I...really had zero intention of reading the whole thing). All the stores that I used to visit seem to have gone belly up (I'm tri-cities, I'm thinkin' I'll have to go downtown, eh). 2. You're listed as a "co-creator" on the book. Does this mean you're in for the long haul? The fill-in issues (Paul freakin' Chadwick) seem very...off. Your art REALLY rounds this book out. A whole lot more than something pretty to look at. You can just SEE what the charactars are thinking. 3. Obviously this story has an ending, but when is it? 102 issues? 300? When you/Brian feel it's time to move on? 4. After reading some of the posts here, looks like the con at Heritage Hall is still going (My mom took me there, like, 15 years ago, neat-0), and I'd really like to get these books signed. Rare to find a pro in Vancouver, eh. Thanks for your time. /tb
