Posted by Salamander Maybe it's on a staggered release - I'll keep checking. Finished the first draft of my first attempt at a comic script, too, picking up the format off a sample script I got hold of. At the moment it's about twice the length it needs to be for the story series I was hoping to submit it to, so I guess I've got to compact it a little now. The most interesting thing I've noticed about telling a story this way (I normally write prose) is the different sensibility I have to use in developing the action. Normally I make fairly heavy use of my prose style, word choice and the rhythm of sentences and paragraphs to evoke an effect. But in a script, where I'm limited to dialogue and to action directions that will be put onto the page by someone else, I'm without my usual toolkit and I've had to think very carefully about my storytelling technique. I haven't done much prose writing since I finished the draft, but I'm about to go on another kick this week now my housecleaning binge is over. It will be interesting to see how the comic stuff feeds back into my usual writing. S. ps - Hope you're a bit better, Pia. There's been an evil cough/chest/sinus/temperature/headache bug going around - hope it hasn't jumped hemispheres and gone after you.

Hey there. I checked the Previews at my local comic shop at lunchtime and I couldn't see any listing for Y - the publisher is Vertigo, right?
