Posted by The home office Balancing the writing with the art is a tricky business all right. If you haven't read Understanding Comics then I heartily recommend it for the chapter on that very aspect. With comics it's more about showing rather than telling and it can be challenging when coming from a prose background. It sounds like you're on a good track so good luck! As for that lung stuff, the verdict so far is "irritated airway" so they're treating it like asthma until it clears up. It could be some allergy I've developed, like maybe to one of the many flowering trees outside my new apartment, or perhaps the carpets or pesticides in the building, who knows? The sooner it's gone the better because breathing is a nice thing.

Sorry it's taken a while to get back to you on this. The Previews is just out this week and has a lovely full page feature on the book that we're all very happy with. The online buzz has been very favourable too (links to some articles are on the subsite).
