Posted by randy i gave it a try because pia's such a cool person (and her art rocks)...the gorgeous cover didn't hurt at all either, but man, i'm STAYING for everythign else about this book...damn is it interesting i'm so glad that we got to know the characters before "NOW", it just made the loss of all the guys that much more powerful...whew!! i think the only gripe i have is that some of jose marzan's inks look really scratchy/seem to be disappearing...i know marzan has been inking fora while, so i doubt that he'd use a line weight that wouldn't reproduce well, so is it DC's scanning or something? in some places, the scratchy quality that it gives looks cool, but in other panels, it seems like he was using a dried out nib...meh (love the texture that he uses in some places...on the gun on the first/last page, cast shadows and the trainwreck smoke) i like how when a character is interupted, hte second balloon overlaps, that's really cool...is that scripted? or clem's handywork? gah, another monthly book that gets pulled and drains my account ;)
