sleep and death

Anybody remember an episode where Paladin and somebody were being chased by somebody (or maybe he had been captured by some bad guy) and he laid down undar a tree and said that if you're afraid to sleep, you're afraid to die, and then went to sleep? I need the exact quote or at least reinforcement that this actually happened. Thanks, Dennis
