We have just adopted a 3-month old tabby from SCPA. We met him when he just arrived the centre and have received vaccination. He was very obedient when given a collar and even slept in the carrying-bag! He seemed quite adaptive to the new environment, but:
1. Is he too active if he played wildly with toys (e.g. feather rod)? Should we stop playing with him too often at this early stage?
2. What if he seemed to target our fingers and feet and seemed likely to attack?
3. Pet shop assistant suggested some form of mild corporal punishment when the cat is not too obedient, but I can see that you strongly disagree with that, if the cat is too hysterical, will he attack?
4. This is the first time we have a cat, but we have planned it for a long time. Caroline is still not very used to the cat rushing near her, and even gets very nervous herself! What should she do?
5. He still has not excreted anything! (6 hours already). We have put him in the litter box many times, but he seems uninterested in it. Now he is sleeping in the litter box. What should we do?
