Posted by Sammy M. on 10/22/2002, 2:59 pm Im a post bone marrow) transplant patient of the past 5 years. Ive had 5 relapses in that time. I no longer participate in any standard medical protocols, been there, done that, got screwed, bought the t-shirt and FINALLY WISED UP! I was doing a wormwood regimen prior to undergoing 9 months of chemo, in 2 days and then 2 days of total body irradiation (40 am & 40 min. p.m.) to condition me for my transplant. My life and recovery since has been toilet. That plus constant relapses, side effects and tremendous weight gain from medication (90 pounds) has totally trashed my life, ego and often times will to even live. In the past 6 months my blood counts have ALL been NORMAL! I (and my husband) believe that the artemisinin is working. To what extent? When the PCR/ABL test comes in, well have a better idea. Should things still look good in March 2003 THAT WILL BE SOMETHING.
