McCarver said during tonights game, and I quote: "Actually hitting him in that spot of the head (where the batter was pointing to towards the top of his helmet) is safer than hitting him in the back of the head." ...... HOW IS HITTING A PLAYER ANYWHERE ON THE HEAD GOOD? I mean. Come on now. The Phillies' player had a good point. "Throw at my side, not at my head," but for McCarver to ignore it and probably think the Phillies player is a pussy for not wanting to be like the gruff oldtimers (with brain damage?) is just too much. And I speak as a Phillies hater. I guess my love of logic outshines my disgust when it comes to the Phillies. I don't have to be Christopher Nowinski ( http://www.sportslegacy.org/about_bio_nowinski.asp ) to know that being hit in the head = bad.
