Triplestrand Productions is happy to announce the addition to our line-up in Actor/Producer/Director/Singer/Songwriter Gene Bicknell. His first release, “Because I Love Her” has just left for stations worldwide on TSP Country Vol. 44. I just stopped in to give you DJs a bit of background about Gene while you’re waiting for the cd to arrive.
Gene Bicknell is a self-made man, whose father was a lead and zinc miner from Pitcher, OK. From those humble beginnings, arose the actor, producer, director, lyricist and top notch artist that can only come from the hard work that manages these sorts of results. His involvement is such that he truly knows each project he works in “from the ground up”
His recently released cd “Because I Love Her” is a culmination of songs written over a colorful career in the film, music and entrepreneurial industries. Gene has written songs for and appeared in such films with artists such as Jeff Corey, Ruta Lee, Ty Hardin, Peter Lawford, Vanna White, Jenny McCarthy, George Kennedy, Jan Michael Vincent, Earnest Borgnine, Ron Canada, Michael Rodgers, Gia Carides, Julia Campbell, Matt Kesslar, Rachel Hunter, Alexandria Paul, Diane Ladd, John Savage, and a host of
others. Songs include those in the movie Rooster (with Cotton Westhoff), Gypsy Angels, Redemption of the Ghost, and those he sang in Thank Heaven. He also wrote the songs for Celebrate America, which plays regularly in Branson. He also directs Country Tonight, Celebrate America, and The Promise in Branson, Missouri. Gene has appears on the stage regularly to standing ovations for his performances in Branson, and sings at various venues throughout the Midwest.
As an actor, producer and director, Gene has appeared with friend and owner of Antique records, Gene Strasser, in several comedy and musical routines. His acting career spans 23 movies, 2 TV pilots, and episodic television shows.
