I have had both of your request. My glasses broke on he beach. I went in with my perscription. The optician said that he could fufill my request, however it would be cheaper to just have an eye test and then make up a new set of lens for me. A couple of years ao the total price was 950 pesos (95.00 Cdn Dollars). My cost at home would have been 50.00 plus the prescription of proberly 250.00. I was satisfied with my experience. Apparently if they use your prescription they have to go to Guadalarra and not done locally. The shop is just to the South of the Bank in La Penita. Happy holidaying
