Posted by al During last summer in eastern Ontario, a radio spot (commercial message) public service message was aired for a website dealing with teenage sexuality. Don't know if the site is still up and active, but the spot on the air was real funny - almost made me drive off the rouad laughing so hard when I first heard it. THe gist of it was this teen guy, supposed to be about 15 or so, who tells his dad that he has feelings for someone at school and doesn't know what to do. THe 'dad' acts dumb, and assumes that his son is horny for a girl in his class. THe punch line at the end is "But Dad,,,,,,,,Kelly's a guy!". You had to hear this thing to make funny sense of it. It was very real, and pointed out the mistake that some 'rents make, in assuming who and what their kids are and what is up for them. It struck a good blow for the rights of all people, young and old, to identify with the orientation that they feel comfortable in - and offered a non-judgemental place to get more info.
