A Kiwi Apology

I was moved to see New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clarke formally apologizing yesterday to the people of Samoa for the treatement that they had received at the hands of New Zealand.
She delivered her words with genuine spirit and they seemed to be received with the same open heart by the people present.
How simple was it and how profoundly good. Congratulations to all concerned.
Maybe one day our turn will come to show such grace.
