Posted by Kevin Bates Ruddock's department simply denies the claims and again lies to the people and expects we will cop it. Well we won't and eventually their deck of cards will have to come down - they do not have a mandate to represent the Australia I love. They simply prey on people's fears and petty concerns for self-preservation and call themselves a government. They follow where the votes are rather than lead us to a place of dignity and justice. As for the their Opposition - they're out to lunch too - I suppose I should get sick of writing about this subject - but until we bring about change I'll keep at it - adding my small voice to the others who are working for a more just Australia.

How long can the po-faced Philip Ruddock and his mates keep it up. Last week it was the dour Bob Ellis recounting his stories from Woomera and again today Mark Huxstep, a former nurse at Woomera. Huxstep testified to the Human Rights Commission hearing into Children in Custody about the instructions he received as a nurse while working at Woomera - following a riot instructions were given to treat only the officers but not the detainees. Records ofeconern that he had inserted into detainees' files were routinely removed - and so on and so on.
