Posted by Kevin Bates Good people, angry people were putting opposite poitns of view with great passion. I think no one doubts that Saddam has to go. My question is, why the hell do we have to bomb all his people to get rid of him? Couldn't a skilled group of commandos go in and take care of him - arrest him and take him away for international justice to run its course even - and then allow the long-suffering people of Iraq to come to peace at last. Why bomb them? It makes no sense at all, except in terms of the US's (and now Great Britain's and Australia's)messianic self-appointment as saviours of the world! In the meantime we keep working for peace....

Listening to the radio this afternoon after the Americans and their friends starting gettign stuck into Iraq, made me realise how divisive this whole experience is.
