Posted by Amanda My prayers and those of my home parish join with yours to see an end to this particular flavour of Australian injustice. Our parish was visited by the provincial of the Carmelite order - and friend of our community. Fr Wayne has visited our parish on a few occasions now and has strengthened the ties our parish community has with the people of the East Timor in Zumulai. We have been engaged in fund-raising efforts for this community and it is always a delight to hear how our brothers and sisters from the north are doing. And they are not doing so well at the moment. It seems that while the eyes of the world are elsewhere, small bands of militia are on the move again bringing their own brand of injustice to the poor innocents of East Timor yet again. It would seem our work there is not yet done! The fact that Ruddock shows no signs of life comes as no surprise to me. Australia's 'policy of death' under Ruddock's guidance continues to sicken me to the core. When did Australia become so very selfish? Fiat Lux
