Posted by Kevin Bates OK - so we've knocked the hell out of Iraq - at least we've protected the Ministry for Oil! Pity about the Museums, hospitals and other infrastructural damage. We've found no weapons of mass destruction, and hardly any of the leadership of the old regime - even though it's a great relief that they've gone - with all our weaponry and technology we've not managed to track down any of the real leaders of the regime. So let's go looking next door in Syria I'm sure we'll find something there and if that doesn't work - perhaps we could look even further where we are sure that there are weapons of mass destruction - Israel - after all we paid for them so we know exactly where they are! In addition we have another violent repressive regime in place there - will we do anything about that? I wonder. As Bob Dylan pointed out years ago - we have God on our Side and when that's the case, you "don't ask no questions" - and you can simply continue to believe in your own self-appointed messianic role. We certainly are in dire moral straits eh.
