Posted by Kevin Bates He invites us still to seek out the things that make for life, freedom, dignity and peace, when so many of our people and nations are caught up in processing things violently and using the weapons of death and fear to control their world. Jesus' legacy surely reminds us that war is not to be our normal means of resolving conflict - and yet it seems that the best we can manage at the moment, is a violent response to each other. Perhaps one day we can rise with Jesus to a new moment of grace whereby we can deal with each other with the tools of peace rather than weapons of death. This Holy Week, may we taste a new hope in the resurrection and may we all - individuals, churches and nations commit ourselves to the coming of God's dream lived out for us in Jesus' wonderful gift.
