The program was challenging and frightening - the one super-pwoer who thinks it can do what it likes and claim that it has law and justice on its side, while all the while, according to these allegations, riding rough-shod over the laws of the countries in which it is operating, and ignoring the norms of international law. Scary echoes of the US invasion of Panama a few years' ago when ab out 7000 mostly civilians, were killed as the US sought to capture their man - Noriega. That operation was called "Operation Just Cause"!! There are terrorists on both sides of this "war against terror"!!

Last night's Four Corners program investigated reports of torture and illegal abduction of people from Afhghanistan, the Gambia, Bosnia and other places, by US military. They also alleged torture of detainees at the Bagram airforce base in Afhghanistan and at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.
