I too heard John Doyle's interview and was nodding my head in agreement with his sentiments and questions about being Australian. But then last week I listened to Fr. Frank Brennan's address to the National Press Club and I saw a glimmer of hope for this land of ours. In my travels and conversations of late, more and more people seem to be expressing a dissatisfaction with our country's line on these issues. And so we hope that we turn the corner and get back to being a loving, broad shouldered country and not a fearful inward looking shell.
