Posted by Kevin Bates Our mess is considerable - we often reflect on it in this forum - nationally, internationally, personally, in families, and in the Church. It's in this mess of ours, our God is happy to be at home and to call us still to new birth, to hope, to a belief that peace is still possible. As the bombs continue to echo around the troubled parts of our world this Christmas day, the songs of hope echo just as strongly - let's join in the songs and celebrate their hope, and commit oruselves again to the coming of God's wonderful dream for all peoples. Happy Christmas to you dear reader.

Well it's here again - the season when we remember the birth of hope in our messy world - as Julia Baird wrote so well in the Herald the other day - from the straw and the mess of a stable, hope was born - and continues to be.
