Well it's Australia Day again and we have much to be grateful for, and much to ponder. Our Labor Party gives us a glimmer of hope that our response to the asylum seekers who come here, may become a little more just and compassionate. There is still a long way to go, but a glimmer of hope after the impenetrable cynicism of the Howard government's policies of the past years.
